David Beresford is a graduate of the Royal College of Art School of Film and Television. He is a programme maker and painter although he now paints full time. Generally he paints the landscape that surrounds him in Lower Wharfedale. Some works reflect the history of the place, others try to capture a short moment of light and mood that usually takes weeks to paint.
A trip to India traveling round Rajasthan just before the pandemic has made him extend his practice particularly with colour, he says a complete change is always good for the soul. This work is ongoing along with the landscapes and has sustained him throughout this difficult time. Work is oil on canvas along with prints.
