Museum & Archive at Print Festival 2026

7th & 8th March 2026

Visit the Museum & Archive for a drop-in visit and to see a brand new exhibition as part of our annual Print Festival!

POP-UP EXHIBITION

This year’s Print Festival exhibition in the Museum & Archive features a series of prints from Leeds Arts University BA (Hons) Illustration students.

For this project, students were tasked with exploring how illustrators can respond to place, focusing on Sunny Bank Mills. They investigated its past and present through direct engagement with the site, its heritage, buildings, and the Museum & Archive. The students then created two-colour, A3 prints, with over 40 of them on display during the Print Festival weekend in the space which inspired them.

Open 10am – 4pm on Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th March.
Suggested £2 donation entry to the Museum & Archive on the door – no pre-booking required.

THE COLLECTION

During your drop-in visit to the Museum & Archive, you’ll have the opportunity to see part of the Mills’ vast textile Collection.

Our Museum & Archive is a unique resource representing over 180 years of cloth production at the Mills and the lives of those who worked here. It contains more than 60,000 lengths of cloth, 8000 fabric designs, 5000 dye cards, 300 guard books and numerous artefacts associated with nearly 200 years of cloth production, which it aims to preserve for the community and future generations.

Open 10am – 4pm on Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th March.
Suggested £2 donation entry to the Museum & Archive on the door – no pre-booking required.
