Design your own Lampshade Workshop

£50 – £55Come join local textiles designer, Faye Hall and create your own bespoke drum lampshade!
Sunday 24th March 10-4pm in the Spinning Mill Studios
Exploring marks and imagery through stitch, print and paint, you will work towards creating your own individual length of fabric which will be transformed into your own drum lampshade to take home. No art experience required- you will be coached through making swatches of interesting designs before committing to something more final, through experimenting with various ways you can create marks on fabric through using different everyday items.
You may wish to come with a colour scheme in mind, or decide on the day through experimenting with the different paints and embroidery threads. (Stitching into your design is also optional- you may prefer just a printed/painted fabric to use!)
Feel free to bring anything laying around the house that you think might be interesting to print with, and it is advised to not wear your best clothes.
