You’ll definitely recognise these two women playing instruments and singing ditties about family and home from The Nationwide ads.
You might also remember their songs; Sisters, Crimbo Limbo, and Small, Small House…
Flo & Joan are the British musical comedy duo, and sisters, Nicola and Rosie Dempsey.
The piano/percussion pair have headlined and played to sold-out audiences across North America and the UK .
They took their debut show Victory Flaps to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2016 for a limited run, where it was announced as one of the Top 10 shows at the Fringe in the Amused Moose Comedy Awards. The show has since been released as an album available on Spotify and iTunes.
They returned to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017 for a full run of their new show The Kindness of Stranglers which sold out in advance and received a raft of positive reviews.
Lou Sanders is one of the most original comedians in Britain. Recent appearances include The Russell Howard Hour (Sky 1), Alan Davies’ As Yet Untitled (DAVE), Live from the BBC and a live stand-up set on Russell Brand’s stand-up hour on Comic Relief (BBC1).
Lou’s other television appearances include Stand Up for Comedy Central (Comedy Central), Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3), Live at the Electric(BBC3), BBC Top Tips (BBC3), Big Brother’s Bit on the Side (E4), 7 Days (TV3) and Sam Delaney’s News Thing (RT).
Her radio work includes regular appearances on Radio 4’s The Unbelievable Truth, co-presenter of The Richard Herring Show with Lou Sanders (FUBAR Radio) as well as being a stand-in co-presenter for the Geoff Lloyd Drive Time Show (Absolute Radio).
