Mini Linocut Workshop with Jenna Foster

April 2 @ 12:30 pm - 1:00 pm

This is a 45 minute workshop, where you will learn the basics of lino cutting and printing.

Each participant will be given a lino block to create a design and begin cutting as Jenna and Shaeron guide you through. This workshop is Spring themed, so choose your favourite plant or flower, draw your design, and get ready to carve! You will walk away with a finished print, as well as your newly cut block, which you can take home to ink up and use again.

This is the perfect workshop to introduce yourself to a new print process, and set you on course with the basic skills to make your own prints in the future.

PLEASE NOTE – This workshop will take place inside the Artists’ Book and Print Fair as part of Printed Bound 2023, so the setting may be noisy and therefore unsuitable for anyone with sensory sensitivity.

Entry to the market is included in your workshop ticket – just show your email confirmation to the staff on the door when you arrive.

This session will run from 12:30 – 13:15

Suitable for ages 14+. Sharp tools will be used for this workshop, and a fair amount of dexterity is needed.

All materials are included in your ticket.

This workshop is part of a series of workshops and events taking place as part of Printed Bound 2023 around the site of Sunny Bank Mills.
