October Half Term: Children’s Drawing Workshops

Accompanying the Definitions of Drawing exhibition, and part of the Big Draw Festival ,‘Make The Change!’ with our fun and family-friendly drawing workshops.
Join artist in residence Si Smith in the gallery for Sunny Bank’s inaugural Big Draw children’s event!
We’ll have a stack of drawing tools and materials for you to try out, and these workshops will be accessible to everyone – age is no barrier, and whether you’re a budding Beryl Cook, a possible Picasso, or virtually Van Gogh you’re all welcome to come and have a draw with us.
(And of course, when you’re done drawing, you can always hang around for a look round our ‘Definitions of Drawing’ exhibition. It’s really great…)

£5 per person.
Si Smith is a Leicester-born illustrator and artist who has lived and worked in Leeds since 2004.
He makes prints and creates comics; curates and teaches; and his practice is built upon a strong foundation of observational drawing.
Si is currently working on a 200-page graphic novel for a big American publisher.

Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. As materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date. Please note that Eventbrite’s booking fee is non-refundable.
If we need to cancel the course for any reason your ticket will be fully refunded.
This workshop is due to take place once Covid restrictions have been lifted. We will be monitoring government guidance for any changes. Please do what makes you and others around you comfortable.
