During this half-day workshop, you will learn how to roll out a clay slab and be shown how to decorate it using incise and additions of clay to make a small decorative tile. You will then transform your tile into a beautiful press-moulded bowl.

Your completed work will be fired and glazed and ready to collect 2-3 weeks after the course ends.

This is a one-off workshop aimed at those who don’t have the time to commit to a course of evening classes but who wish to take some time out for themselves. Step away from the day-to-day for a couple of hours and dip your toe into the wonderful world of clay and have the satisfaction of creating a unique ceramic piece of art in a relaxed and fun environment. Come on your own or with a group of friends at the weekend to do something a little bit different and creative.

These courses are ideal for the complete beginner, those with a little experience or for anyone just wishing to have some time out with clay! Suitable for Adults (16+)

All tools, materials, firings, tea, coffee and cake are included in the price. All you need to do is turn up with an apron and have some creative fun!

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Farsley is located just off the A1620 Leeds/Bradford Ring Road and is a 10 minute walk from New Pudsey Train Station. If using Sat.Nav. select Water Lane, Farsley, rather than Town Street.

The course will take place in the Spinning Mills Studios part of Sunny Bank Mills. If you are driving or walking down the high street (Town Street) from the station end, turn left immediately in front of the Mill Kitchen. If you are walking/driving up through the village past Sutcliffes/The Fleece, turn right after Sunny Bank Gallery in front of the Mill Kitchen. The Studios are in the Spinning Mill, on the right at the top of the yard above Scrap, second floor. There is a lift and free parking directly outside.

What can I bring into the event?

An apron and a large dollop of enthusiasm!
