Generate Summer School at Sunny Bank

Coinciding with their August exhibition in the gallery, this summer holiday, GENERATE are running 3 fun-filled days of art workshops for children aged 5-11.

Morning: 10am-12pm

Afternoon: 1pm-3pm

Full day: 10am-3pm (Bring a packed lunch!)

Price: £10 per session or £18 for full day.

3D Collage –

Inspired by Nick Kidd’s work in the exhibition, we will explore colour, pattern and shape, to build 3D sculptural collages, thinking about scale, material and texture.

Tuesday 16^th PM

Painting –

In response to Ellie MacGarry’s work, we will explore colour, line and shape to produce vibrant, funky and abstract paintings.

Generate is an ongoing collaboration by three artists; Alice Chandler, Ellie MacGarry and Nick Kidd. Focusing on arts engagement within local communities, and using the combination of diverse practices, Generate use play and innovativeness to deliver exciting art workshops. Generate’s interests lie in being playful and experimental, thinking about the physicality of materials and the experience of making.
