Swarm; Laney Birkhead’s installation drawing attention to the plight of bees, coming to Sunny Bank. Spanning 18 months of work, hundreds of families ( including many of our visitors) printed thousands of bees (over 50,000 in fact) and 13 artists created work inspired by them. This exhbibition enable visitors to immerse themselves in the life of bees by walking through the installation and explore the life of a bee in craft and art form.

Laney Birkhead creator of the Swarm Project will be available in the Gallery to discuss her journey putting together the Swarm Installation and running her bee project on Saturdays during the exhibition from 12 – 3pm.
