How to Upcycle a Garment: 3 week course

Join CarolAnn Allan for this three week Upcycle a Garment course!
The workshops are held over three weeks, 2-4.30pm 1st, 8th and 15th November and cover hand embroidery, appliqué/collage and darning. Refashioning vintage/textiles or favourite sweaters/garments into ‘ new’ and embellishing with stitch and appliqué. You may have an old tweed jacket, wool sweater, wool cushion cover or cotton shirt which can be updated.
Please bring along your garment/item you wish to embellish. CarolAnn has a selection of woollen & pearl cotton threads, buttons and lovely scraps from Abraham Moons. If you have any vintage fabrics etc please also bring these if you wish to add to your garment.
Tea, coffee and cake will be provided.
Kindly note that the workshops are held on the top floor in the artists studios, Spinning Mill at Sunny Bank Mills and has a lift.
