Selvedge Peg Plan and Block

Weaving the Web

The selvedge is a “self-finished” edge of a piece of fabric which keeps it from unraveling and fraying. This peg plan was used to set the loom up to weave the textile selvedge edges with text. This included the designer/range or more information about the fabric. The plans were stored in cardboard tubes.
