After many months, the lovely new woodland car park behind 1912 Mill is finished and we now have 50 additional spaces for our tenants and their customers! There is now lots of parking space available at Sunny Bank Mills and this allows us to keep regenerating the mill for business accommodation and offer the ample parking for incoming businesses. It has been a bit of a labour of love trying to sympathetically fit a car park into the beautiful green environment behind the mill but I think we have managed it. We are especially proud of the 25 metres of dry stone retaining wall that we pushed through despite the structural surveyors and builders reluctance! In addition we have a special porous resin bonded gravel that runs all the way round to the 1912 Mill accompanied by bat friendly lighting and cool little lit bollards. Arriving at work has never been more pleasant and you are now able to enjoy a short 2-3 minute stroll before getting behind the office desk!

There is more planting to come shortly and once we have completed the demolition of the buildings in the centre of the site next year we plan to create a new footpath across the middle creating a more direct link for those in the center of the site.
