Boris Johnson hit the hard streets of Farsley to help his fellow MP Stuart Andrew for a bout of early electioneering today! Great excitement and profile for Farsley; he and his media entourage took a walk up and down Town Street talking to local business and ending up at the Boardroom of Sunny Bank Mills for a standing round table chat to a mixture of local Mill tenants, residents and businesses. Very engaging and whatever your political persuasion, he is sure to get you thinking and talking about the future come May 7th. Boris Seemed passionate about the devolving of fiscal policy to the regions as a key element to the restoration of ‘The Northern Powerhouse’ as George Osborne coined in his recent speech in June 2014 in Manchester. We were sure to pin him down with some devilish questions about business rates and support for small businesses, issues close to our heart as we try to attract new business to Sunny Bank Mills. ..and the best Borisism..Deftly answering the awkward cost of Milk question by encouraging us to buy local British milk ‘the Champagne of European milk!’
