Alice came to us as an Arts Council supported Intern in 2015, with a degree in fine art from Edinburgh. In her 6 years, she became a key member of the team, completed an M.A., developed a maker practice as a jeweller, exhibited with us (2016 Ones to Watch, 2016 Prod + Push, 2019 Artifact) and somehow managed to retain a creative practice.
For our tenth anniversary we commissioned Alice to make a collection inspired by the Mill. Heddles is that collection; drawing its inspiration from the artistry of weaving and the intricate, yet indispensable, components of loom machinery that transform yarn into fabric.
