Join The Dyevolution!

This spring we will commence creating a dye garden. The garden will explore the growing of plants used in the dyeing industry and simultaneously increase green space on site and attract wildlife. The garden will allow community groups and volunteers to learn gardening skills and plant care, whilst improving wellbeing and gaining heritage knowledge of dye production via this newly created outdoor spaceThe dye garden will be created and supported by the expertise of Hyde Park Source, facilitating people to engage in outdoor activities linked to the heritage of the site. Additional dye plant guidance from Sponge Tree will develop knowledge, connection with other community groups, and education around green therapy.

If you are interested in joining this project as a volunteer, please contact Hyde Park Source: [email protected]  or text on 07873 157076

The Volunteers

Filmed by a budding film enthusiast (Jack, the son of Sunny Bank Mills Heritage Director) this film gives a lovely vignette of life in the Museum & Archive with the wonderful volunteers who are helping to preserve, develop and document it.
