Helen Campbell is a Saddleworth based artist, author and illustrator. Helen belongs to Saddleworth Group of Artists who exhibit mainly in Saddleworth and Oldham, and to International group, La Journee des Peintures.
“I am an artist who just loves experimenting and trying new ways to express the beauty around us. I work in most mediums and draw and paint in oil, watercolour, acrylic, charcoal and oil. I love etching – dry point, lino and collagraph. My subject matter is also varied – figures, landscape, plants and animals.
My collagraphs for Sunny Bank Mills relate to the given title “source” as they show the hills above Leeds, the source of the River Aire; sheep, the source of wool; the mill, the source of the worsted material and the globe , the market for this fine product.”
