Beginners Weaving Course
16th June 2022 @ 6:30 pm - 21st July 2022 @ 9:30 pm
Join our in house weaving extraordinaire, Agnis, for 6 Thursdays 6:30-9:30pm. This is a great opportunity to learn a new skill, and it can all be done after work!
This course is aimed at those who are complete beginners or for those who may have some experience weaving on a peg loom or rigid heddle loom but are keen to develop their skills.
The looms will be set up and warped giving more time to concentrate on weaving. For the first 4 weeks you will rotate around the looms, exploring different weave structures whilst learning about your loom. The final weeks will be dedicated to weaving your own final project, like a table runner or cushion cover!
You will receive 1 to 1 help and support each week as well as group teaching and demonstrations resulting in you taking away your own range of samples as well as a completed final project.
Things to bring
Yourselves, ideas , a packed lunch (there are also places to buy lunch in the mill and on Farsley Town Street.)
We will provide
Refreshments (drinks and cake!), some materials and equipment.
PLEASE NOTE – There is an extra £5 material charge per week.
