SOLD OUT – Lino Print with Oliver and Shaeron from Henshaws

Join Shaeron Caton-Rose and Henshaws Artmaker Oliver on our Printed Bound fair weekend for an intro to the lino printing process!

In this workshop you will have the opportunity to create your own linocut print from scratch. Starting from your design, we will show you how to cut and print lino to make an original design. All materials and tools provided, extra lino blocks charged at £3 per block.

No prior experience or skills necessary.

Suitable for ages 16+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

About your teacher

Shaeron Caton-Rose is an artist and printmaker, and currently teaches within the print workshop at Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre in Knaresborough. Henshaws support people living with sight loss and a range of other disabilities to go beyond expectations. The Centre nurtures the creativity of artists of mixed abilities: Artmakers with no formal training but for whom creating is an integral part of their being. With the support of Henshaws, the artists have the space to develop confidence in their creative practice. A core value of Henshaws is the necessity of diversity in the pursuit of creative growth and liberation.

Oliver Fawcett is a Henshaws Artmaker has worked on several collaborative print projects across the workshops at Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre, and has recently joined the print studio to develop his interest further. He has focused on linocut and makes images with a strong drawing design ethos.

About the venue

Sunny Bank Mills is an inspirational cultural destination in the heart of the local community of Farsley, Leeds. Founded in 1829, these glorious Mills are being regenerated by the sixth generation of the family owners, creating a wonderful blend of work, leisure and culture.

 

Course terms and booking conditions

Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. As materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date. Please note that Eventbrite’s booking fee is non-refundable.

If we need to cancel the course for any reason your ticket will be fully refunded.

 

Accessibility

The venue of this workshop is on the 3rd floor of the 1912 Mill, which is accessed via three flights of stairs or a wheelchair accessible lift. There are accessible toilets on the ground and 2nd floor of the venue. We will have attendants on hand to offer assistance throughout the day.
