Devore Textile Workshop

Join textile artist and printer Gill Kirk to explore the exciting art of Devore, a process where cellulose fibres are chemically removed, or burnt out from protein fibres in certain mixed fibre fabrics.
Participants will have opportunity to experiment with different fabrics and techniques for creating pattern and texture. These will then be dyed, some with two tone colour. You are certain to take home lots of lovely sample pieces and a length of fabric suitable for making into a scarf.
Please note: Materials charge £15 per person to cover cost of fabric, Devore paste and dyes. Payable directly to the artist on the day of the workshop.
