Illustration Workshop with Lilly Williams

Who would play you in the graphic narrative of your life? For artist Lilly Williams it is a yellow cat person called Scaredy Cat! Could yours be a squiggle with legs? A fluorescent pink frog? A one eyed, colour changing unicorn? Who knows!? We will develop a character through a series of drawing games and use that character to tell a story from our lives in the form of a comic. This playful approach to auto-bio comics will equip you with tools to go on and create your own diary comics.
Aimed at anyone aged 12+
About the artist
Lilly Williams is an artist and maker based in Hull, working across media, with a central focus on comics and storytelling. Lilly also create murals, sculpture, painting and drawings. Drawing is central to their practice, especially embracing wobbly lines, mistakes and spontaneity. Lilly is interested in vulnerability and honesty both in the stories she tells and the marks she makes.

As materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date. Please note that Eventbrite’s booking fee is non-refundable.
