For the first time ever, join Nerrisa in the Weaving Shed as she turns her most popular book project ‘The Barbara bag’ into an exciting, beginner friendly workshop. In this session, learn the basics of this vintage stitch and get started on making your very own needlepoint bag just in time for party season!
We’ll start out with the basics of the stitch, a practise sampler to teach you the foundations, before getting started on your final project – a beautiful needlepoint bag perfect for all your essentials.
All materials included.
Suitable for ages 14+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
About Nerissa
Nerrisa Pratt is an all-round creative with a passion for trend-led, sustainable crafting that inspires other modern makers to great making. She’s also the author of Bargello and has worked with brands such as Hobbycraft, Sewing Street, PFAFF and Madeira threads to name a few. When she’s not teaching workshops, she’s creating viral, beginner friendly content for her social media channels, some of which was recently featured in Vogue.

Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. As materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date. Please note that Eventbrite’s booking fee is non-refundable.
If we need to cancel the course for any reason your ticket will be fully refunded.
Accessibility
This workshop will be held in the Weaving Shed, which is accessible by a flight of wooden stairs or a wheelchair accessible lift inside our Twisting Studios. If you are likely to need lift access, please let us know on your booking form so that we can offer assistance on the day.
