Open Call for Printed Bound 2023 – Our annual Artist Book and Print Fair

22nd December 2022 @ 8:00 am - 30th January 2023 @ 11:30 pm

We are looking for artists, makers, illustrators, designers and printmakers at all stages of their career who create prints, make books, or have had books produced by small independent presses.  Individuals, partnerships, collectives and students are are encouraged to apply!

Processes might include: etching, monoprint, screen print, book binding, collograph, linocut, lithograph, typograph, letter press and more. Books may be in traditional form or presented as objects, but they should be hand made or printed in small runs.

After a tremendous weekend at the end of November for our 2022 Christmas Art and Makers Market with a footfall of over 5000 people in 3 days, we are reopening the doors to the first floor of our iconic 1912 Mill for Printed Bound. This means we have plenty more room for stalls & browsers, and lots more space for workshops and activities. There will be cafes in both the 1912 and the Gallery for homemade cakes and refreshments. Open Studios will be taking place in the Twisting and Spinning Mill and our Gallery and Gallery shop will be open as usual.

An area of the event space will be set aside for workshops, demonstrations and taster sessions as part of the weekend, so please let us know in your application if you are interested in contributing to that element of the weekend.

As the event coincides with Ones to Watch; our annual student showcase exhibition, a number of tables will be allocated to local students and emerging artists. These tables will be offered free of charge to a small number of applicants selected by the Gallery team.

Stall fee: £60 per day

The fair will be open to the public 10am-4pm on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd April.

Entry for visitors to the fair will be £2 (under 12s free). Free parking.

Wheelchair access via lift to the first floor.
