Prod and Push by Generate

Prod and Push is the first exhibition by Generate at Sunny Bank Mills, featuring work by emerging artists Alice Chandler, Nick Kidd and Ellie MacGarry.

Generate is an ongoing collaboration focusing on arts engagement within local communities, using the combination of diverse practices, Generate use play and innovativeness to deliver exciting art workshops. Generate’s interests lie in being playful and experimental, thinking about the physicality of materials and the experience of making.

Throughout 2016, Generate have been running a series of children’s art workshops . In Prod and Push, the artists respond to the work produced in the workshops, creating work in a range of media reflecting their energy and that of the children participating in the workshops.

The exhibition opens on Friday 29th July, join us and the artists for a drink between 6-8pm.

The exhibition continues until Sunday 28th August.
