Pulp to Paper: Creative Papermaking Workshop

Join us on 22nd June in the Spinning Mill Studios for an experimental, fun and therapeutic day exploring the magical art of papermaking using pulps made from waste papers and plant materials.

Papermaking artist Niki Hampson of Pulpitations will share her knowledge and passion for this ancient craft and her love of nature and recycling. Participants will learn an array of techniques and incorporate natural materials collected from field, wood and garden to create beautiful and decorative handmade papers and 3d structures.

Ideas and samples of Niki’s artwork will illustrate how these finished pieces may be developed at home.

This workshop is suitable for beginners, both adults and young people 11+. All materials, equipment and refreshments will be provided.

Papermaking kits and frames will be available to purchase.

To bring: An apron & a packed lunch.
