Colour, narrative and theatre; Mel Davies annual solo exhibition returns to the Mills with a new body of work. Mel invites the viewer to take an imaginary walk into or through his work – or simply wonder what it would be like to sit in that wonky chair and enjoy a glass of wine.
Flight of Fancy is a solo exhibition by artist Mel Davies, featuring a series of new paintings inspired by nature, the everyday, and the fantastical. Visit the Spinning Mill Loft, above Mel’s space in our artists’ studios, for an atmospheric and immersive experience in one of the rarely seen areas of Sunny Bank Mills.
Open 10am – 4pm Tuesday to Sunday. Closed on Mondays.
Please note – the Spinning Mill Loft can only be accessed by stairs, but Mel will also have work on display in his studio on the 2nd floor, which is accessible via a lift.
