Lorna Jewitt

Lorna Jewitt has been volunteering in the Archive for almost 10 years. Her work is therefore often inspired by the objects she has helped to conserve, and by the preservation of those objects. For example, in Material Evidence in 2014, she exhibited a number of pieces made using paperclips from dye cards that had been replaced with ones that do not rust; preserving the past and saving waste.

Stitch and textiles are her preferred media; and used to beautiful effect in the mixed media pieces on display as part of Woven Stories.
