Mia Mai Symonds was the recipient of the Judges Prize in Ones to Watch 2021 with her monumental piece of weaving in black rope; we still have images of her at the top of a ladder 4 metres up in install week!
The beautiful, delicate pieces in Woven Stories were created on a handmade loom in her studio in Leeds.
Mia was commissioned by Sunny Bank Mills to create a sculpture for permanent display on the Weavers’ Lawn in Autumn 2023. Remember Rana Plaza will be installed on site in 2024.
