Nel Whatmore was the first resident of our Twisting Artist Studios, and we have exhibited her beautiful paintings on a regular basis ever since she moved in.
Nel has been an artist all her working life and normally travels the length and breadth of Britain studying the landscape and favourite coastal haunts, as well as being inspired by visits to many gorgeous well known gardens. The main inspiration behind her work which infuses both her florals, landscapes and abstracts, is her love of colour and it’s ability to evoke emotions.
She started her career with the help of the Prince’s Trust an organisation, started by The Prince of Wales, to support young people get into work and was invited to Clarence House as part of the Trusts 35th Anniversary Celebrations.
