Rosaline is a multi-disciplinary artist from East London. Her work explores organic form and the natural world as well as the inner world and nostalgia. She works primarily in oil painting and metalwork.
“My painting is a visualisation of a gooey symbiosis between woman, animal, and the natural world. All elements morph into one another. The female form does not luxuriate or pose she is not even a body anymore. I am intrigued by the way fruits bear resemblance to molluscs which bear resemblance to amoebas or bacteria. All these organic forms can fuse and become parts of each other. Oysters were definitely a prime inspiration for this piece as in most of my other work.”
