Robert Wyatt is a realist painter who exhibited in our first formal exhibition, The Yard in 2013 and again in Still Lives & Lands in 2016.
Robert paints using techniques associated with the classical tradition: sketches, underpainting and layers, or glazes, of oil paint. However, he feels technique should be a means to an end. Each piece should have a narrative rather than simply being a recording of an image. It should reveal the hidden beauty of items often overlooked as mundane, prosaic or every-day.
