Si Smith first exhibited at Sunny Bank Mills as part of Neighbourhood in 2017, and went on to curate Panel Show (an exhibition about comics) in 2019. He is often found sitting in the Gallery, sketching people as they visit and work and was artist in residence for Definitions of Drawing I in 2020. In 2023 he curated The Only Way Up is Down a pop up exhibition featuring work from artist Leon Varga in the 1912 Mill. Remember the see-saws made from grandfather clocks?
Si’s work featured in Woven Stories is a large series of miniature drawings made in his garden.
