During this workshop, Elnaz will guide you through a variety of beautiful and intricate techniques, using an array of experimental threads and materials, to create your own unique embroidered world.
The techniques that you will learn can be applied to any cloth and are a brilliant way to give a piece of clothing or a gift an extra special touch.
Experimental embroidery techniques are a great way to stay calm and reduce stress levels. This is the perfect opportunity to explore the meditative qualities of textile art in a relaxed setting.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of knowledge, from beginners, to experienced embroiderers who want to expore a fresh approach, as well as those studying or working in textiles, fashion or costume.
All materials included.
Suitable for ages 14+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
About Elnaz
Elnaz Yazdani is an embroidery artist and educator based in Yorkshire. Elnaz is dedicated to sharing her textile skills and promoting the importance of embroider as an art form for the future and for community wellbeing.
Elnaz has taught embroidery throughout her local area – within primary, secondary and higher education, as well as community groups and organisations.

Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. As materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date. Please note that Eventbrite’s booking fee is non-refundable.
If we need to cancel the course for any reason your ticket will be fully refunded.
Accessibility
This workshop will be held in the Spinning Mill Studios which are accessed by two flights of stairs or a wheelchair accessible lift. If you are likely to need lift access, please let us know on your booking form so that we can offer assistance on the day. There are wheelchair accessible toilets within the Spinning Mill building.
