Mend, Patch, Embellish Stitching Workshop

Do you have a pair of jeans that are in need of repair or a favourite shirt that is looking a bit faded? Bring along an item in need of embellishment, patch/repair, or just join in for a couple of hours of mindful slow stitching.
There will be a selection of fabrics and examples of repair and embellishment for us to use as inspiration!
All materials included.
Suitable for ages 14+. Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
About CarolAnn
CarolAnn J Allan is an artist/tutor specialising in hand embroidery. She also teaches Eco Printing, EPP and visible mending and works primarily within community projects. Her own practice explores the importance of slow textiles and traditional skills, naturally dying her own fabrics and threads from her garden.
Course terms and booking conditions
Workshop and course bookings can be cancelled and refunded up until 7 days before the scheduled start date. As materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date. Please note that Eventbrite’s booking fee is non-refundable.
If we need to cancel the course for any reason your ticket will be fully refunded.
Accessibility
This workshop will be held in the Weaving Shed, which is accessible by a flight of wooden stairs or a wheelchair accessible lift inside our Twisting Studios. If you are likely to need lift access, please let us know on your booking form so that we can offer assistance on the day.
