Screen Print a Tote Bag or Tea Towel with El Riordan

For this workshop, you will be based within the print room, experimenting with stencils to create a screen printed tote bag or tea towel. You will be introduced to the screen printing process and be able to design and make your own print using multiple layers and colours.
Using scissors and craft knives, you will create your own paper stencil and use this to screen print onto a tote bag or tea towel.
All materials and equipment will be supplied.
1x tote bag or tea towel per person.
El Riordan is a Textile Designer and Fashion and Textiles Tutor based in West Yorkshire.
Her work is inspired and developed from a love of the outdoors and in response to the Norwegian concept of Friluftsliv, which translates as “free air life”. The concept encourages a strong relationship with nature and calls on the importance of spending time outdoors.
El uses a range of techniques throughout her work including; screen printing, digital printing, collage, drawing and painting.

Sunny Bank Mills is an inspirational cultural destination in the heart of the local community of Farsley, Leeds. Founded in 1829, these glorious Mills are being regenerated by the sixth generation of the family owners, creating a wonderful blend of work, leisure and culture.

As materials and equipment are ordered in advance, we regret that refunds cannot be offered less than 7 days before the workshop date. Please note that Eventbrite’s booking fee is non-refundable.
