The Tory election campaign came to Sunny Bank Mills for a second time earlier this week. In a low key visit to Farlsey, Foreign Secretary William Hague and local MP Stuart Andrew, called at at two businesses. William Gaunt introduced him to the regeneration of Sunny Bank Mills and explained that about 50 businesses are based here with nearly 300 employees, and that we plan to at least double that in the future. Mr. Hague then popped into Adept Consulting where Director Matthew Ramsden demonstrated the lastest software techniques that his team of structural and civil engineers employ for projects throughout the UK. Next, David Wilson of Dovetailors showcased his high end furniture making workshop and salesroom. David explained how his team marry traditional woodworking skills with high end technology to push the boundaries of cabinet making. And of course. David was able to point out that he had just made a chair for the Queen and William Hague left with Dovetailors business card, so perhaps Mrs. Hague might pop in to place an order once he has stood down following the election!
