Just returned from a fantastic trip to John Smedley in Derby a knitwear manufacturer with our wonderful and hard working volunteer team.  A real treat to say thank you for all their hard work over the past years. We had a great insight into the Archive collection and volunteers at John Smedley.

One of the fascinating objects in their collection was these fabulous knitted swimwear.  We also had a brilliant and informative tour around this working Mill.  We also had time to pop into the John Smedley discount shop to find some knitted bargains. Thank you to the Archive team at John Smedley for being amazing hosts.
